
Applying an EDID to an Input Device
Use the following procedure to apply an EDID to an input device connected to the SME100
using the Advanced Settings page (see figure 83).

1. If necessary, connect an input device to the 15-pin HD connector (input 2) or the
DVI connector (input 3) located on the rear panel of the SME100 (see the "Rear Panel
Features" section on page 12).
2. Use the Select Input radio buttons to select the desired input (input 2 or input 3) to
apply EDID to.
3. From the Resolution drop-down menu, select the desired EDID resolution.
NOTES:
• Saved (custom) EDID can also be selected. For information on creating a
custom EDID, see the "Creating a Custom EDID" section on page 107.
• If a custom EDID has not been captured, the resolution and refresh rate defaults
to 1024x768 @ 60 Hz.
4. From the Refresh Rate drop-down menu, select the desired EDID refresh rate.
NOTE: If a custom EDID is selected from the Resolution drop-down menu, the
Refresh Rate drop-down menu cannot be used. The custom EDID uses the
refresh rate that was captured from the output device.
5. Click the Load button to apply the EDID to the selected input device.
