Port Settings Page

The Port Settings page is accessed by clicking on the Port Settings link on the left

sidebar of the Configuration page (see figure 80).

The Port Settings page is used to change the settings of the serial port and the network

port. These ports are used to communicate with the SME100 using a control PC or control

device.

Serial Port Settings panel

NOTE: After all of the necessary changes have been made to the following

configuration options in this panel, click the Submit button to save the configuration

settings. Clicking the Cancel button or navigating to a different web page clears

any changes that were made.

• Serial Port — This field displays the serial port number of the SME100. The serial

port number of the SME100 is always 1.

• Port Type — This field displays the type of serial port type on the SME100. The

type of serial port on the SME100 is always RS-232.

• Data Bits — This drop-down menu is used to set the number of data bits that are

used for communication with the SME100. The default is 8.
