
Creating a Custom EDID
Use the following procedure to create a custom EDID using the Advanced Settings page on
the SME100 (see figure 82).

1. Connect a video output device to the 15-pin HD buffered loop connector (buffered
input2) or the DVI buffered loop connector (buffered input 3) located on the rear panel
of the SME100 (see the "Rear Panel Features" section on page 12).
2. Use the Select Input radio buttons to select the desired input (buffered input 2 or
buffered input 3) to capture EDID from.
3. From the Resolution drop-down menu, select a custom EDID number to store the
new display EDID.
NOTES:
• Custom 1, 2, and 3 capture EDID from the 15-pin HD buffered loop connector.
Custom 4, 5, and 6 capture EDID from the DVI buffered loop connector.
• The new EDID will overwrite existing custom EDID information.
• If a custom EDID is not captured, the resolution and refresh rate defaults to
1024x768 @ 60 Hz.
4. Click the Save Current EDID button to store the EDID to the custom location.
